DR. AKABUIKE STRENGTHENS INSTITUTIONAL TIES WITH COURTESY VISIT TO UNIZIK VICE-CHANCELLOR The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, Hon. Dr. Joe Akabuike, on Tuesday, 24th February 2026, paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie. During the visit, Dr. Akabuike congratulated the Vice-Chancellor on his appointment and expressed confidence in the long-standing cordial relationship between the two institutions. Dr. Akabuike noted that COOUTH, being the nearest teaching hospital to the University, has consistently provided quality medical services to members of the University community. He reaffirmed the hospital’s commitment to sustaining efficient and professional healthcare delivery in support of the wellbeing of staff and students. In his response, the Vice-Chancellor appreciated the Chief Medical Director for the thoughtful visit and commended the hospital for its quality medical care and sustained support to the University. He expressed his willingness to further strengthen the relationship between both institutions for mutual benefit.
