DR. AKABUIKE PAYS LAST RESPECTS AS CHIEF OF STAFF BURIES MOTHER The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku, Awka, Hon. Dr. Joe Akabuike, on Tuesday, 6th January 2026, joined the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Ernest Nnaama Ezeajughi, to pay his final respects to his late mother, Mrs. Christiana Mgboye Ezeajughi, who passed on at the graceful age of 93. Dr. Akabuike was accompanied by the Public Relations Officer of COOUTH, Agbai Henrietta, ANPR, as they joined family, friends, and dignitaries who gathered to honour the life and legacy of the nonagenarian mother. The funeral ceremony was a moment of both reflection and thanksgiving for a fulfilled life of impact and family devotion. While commiserating with the Chief of Staff and his family, Dr. Akabuike prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and for God’s comfort upon the family.
