DR. AKABUIKE WELCOMES THE PHARMACY COUNCIL OF NIGERIA (PCN) INSPECTION TEAM The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH) Amaku, Awka, Dr. Joe Akabuike, has warmly received a team from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) who visited the institution on an official inspection tour, on Tuesday, 28th of October, 2025. The delegation was led by Pharm. Dr. Daniel Orumwense, and included the South-East Zonal Coordinator, Pharm. Ifeyinwa Ohiaeri, as well as the Anambra State Coordinator, Pharm. Fechi Njoku. In his remarks, Dr. Akabuike stressed the importance of regulatory inspections, noting that they help institutions remain focused and adhere to best practices. He likened the process to students preparing for examinations, always diligent and conscious of the need to meet expected standards, unlike those who feel no assessment is pending and may carry on carelessly. He reiterated the hospital’s commitment to continuous improvement, professionalism, and compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines.
