COOUTH PRODUCES ITS FIRST CONSULTANT/ FELLOW OF THE WEST AFRICAN COLLEGE OF PHYSICIANS (FWACP) The Management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital (COOUTH), Amaku-Awka, proudly announces the induction of Dr. Onyinye Chinenye Nwazor as a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in the Faculty of Community Health. The induction ceremony took place on Monday, 27th October 2025, during the 49th Annual General and Scientific Meeting (AGSM) of the college held in Dakar, Senegal This remarkable achievement marks the successful completion of Dr. Nwazor’s residency training programme at the Department of Community Medicine, COOUTH, and stands as a historic milestone, as she becomes the first Fellow/Consultant produced by the hospital’s residency training programme. Her accomplishment is a testament to years of hard work, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to advancing community health and public well-being. The Chief Medical Director, Hon. Dr. Joe Akabuike, on behalf of the Management and Staff of COOUTH, congratulated Dr. Nwazor for this groundbreaking feat. He expressed profound appreciation to the Anambra State Government, the Consultants, and all Professionals who contributed to building the institution’s training excellence. He further reaffirmed COOUTH’s growing potential as a premier centre for medical education, research, and clinical practice in Nigeria and beyond.
