DR. AKABUIKE COMMENDS THE OUTGOING CORPS MEMBERS IN THE SEND FORTH CEREMONY ORGANISED IN THEIR HONOUR.
The Management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku, Awka, led by the Chief Medical Director, Hon. Dr. Joe Akabuike, on the 4th of June, 2025, organised a send forth ceremony for the outgoing corps members that served in the Teaching Hospital. In his opening remarks, Dr. Akabuike, on behalf of the Management Team, appreciated the efforts of these Corps members. According to him, their efforts and contributions to the hospital during their service year are remarkable and worthy of appreciation. He noted that this event is to honour them for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the hospital's mission and values. He called on them to share their experiences and advice the Management on the areas that need strengthening.
The Corps members joyfully shared their experiences, expressing heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Medical Director and the Management team for their support and approachability throughout their service year, which enabled them to seamlessly integrate into the hospital community. They appreciated the supportive environment and teamwork among the hospital staff, which made their service year enjoyable and productive in the Teaching Hospital. Some Corps members also shared stories of overcoming challenges such as adapting to a new environment, managing workload, and balancing their personal and professional responsibilities. The Corps members expressed their gratitude for the wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience they gained while working with sophisticated machines and equipments in the Teaching Hospital. This exposure not only enhanced their technical skills but also boosted their confidence in handling complex medical technology.
The Acting DCMAC, Dr. Ifeoma Njelita, while thanking the Corps members, drew their attention to the importance of service, teamwork, and leadership in the world of labour they are going into. She encouraged them to apply the skills and experience gained during their service year to make a positive impact in their various fields.
A Certificate of Recognition and a special package was presented to them by the Chief Medical Director as a token of appreciation for their outstanding services which in no doubt will leave a lasting impression on them.
A prayer session, which was led by the Ag, Head of Audit Department, Mrs Uju Ejiofor, blessed the future endeavours of the Corps members and called on God's favour to lead them through. Other members of the Management Team present are: the Ag CMAC, Dr. Nnaemeka Umedum, Head of Accounts, Mr. Okechukwu Nworie, the Head of Administration, Mrs Chioma Ibekie, the public Relations Officer, Agbai Henrietta.
