In his remarks, High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi (Ikenga Umuawulu) congratulated Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu on her well-deserved appointment as Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital Amaku (COOUTH), describing her as a distinguished consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist with a proven track record in women’s health and medical leadership. He commended the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for what he (Ikenga Unuawulu) termed a visionary and merit-based appointment, noting that her wealth of experience and prior leadership role as President of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (FCT Chapter) positions her strongly to drive excellence and transformation in the hospital. He stressed that excellence is a collective responsibility, urging all hands to be on deck in repositioning COOUTH for greater impact. Demonstrating leadership through action, High Chief Dr. Christopher Ndubuisi pledged to provide a solar power system for the hospital wards, a critical intervention aimed at ensuring steady electricity, improving patient care conditions, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting uninterrupted medical services.
