DR. UMEAKUEWULU LEADS MANAGEMENT TEAM ON CONDOLENCE VISIT TO PHARM. NKEM OBIANO The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, led the hospital’s management team on a condolence visit to the Head of Pharmacy Department, Pharm. Nkem Obiano, at his country home in Obeagu Umuazu Village, Nise, following the demise of his beloved mother, Late Ezinne Florence Nwaelue Obiano, who was laid to rest on Thursday, 16th April, 2026. During the visit, the CMD offered heartfelt prayers for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss of an angelic mother. Accompanying her were the Deputy CMAC, Dr. Ifeoma Njelita; Head of Administration, Mrs. Chioma Ibekie; Head of Laboratory Services, Mr. Okey Umeh; ,Public Relations Officer, Agbai Henrietta, Head of Nursing services, Mrs Nebo Angel; Head of works; Engr. Olisaemeka Anumonye; Head of Medical Records, Mrs Nkiru Chinedu- Okoli;and Head of Internal Audit, Mrs. Uju Ejiofor, among others. In his response, Pharm. Nkem Obiano expressed deep appreciation to the Chief Medical Director, the management team, and the staff of the hospital for their presence, solidarity, and support during this difficult time. He thanked them for their prayers and show of compassion, noting that their visit brought comfort to him and his family, and he prayed for God’s journey mercies upon their return.
