UMEAKUEWULU RECEIVES MWAN, SEEKS STRONGER COLLABORATION FOR COOUTH’S TRANSFORMATION The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, received members of the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN)Awka chapter on a courtesy visit to her office. The delegation congratulated her on her appointment and expressed strong confidence in her capacity to reposition the hospital for greater efficiency and excellence. They pledged their continued support to her vision of transforming the institution into a global centre of medical excellence and presented her with a congratulatory portrait as a mark of honour and solidarity. In her response, Dr. Umeakuewulu appreciated the association for their thoughtful visit and unwavering support, describing it as a significant encouragement to her administration. She emphasized the importance of teamwork and called for sustained collaboration among stakeholders in advancing the hospital’s mandate. The CMD further reaffirmed her commitment to aligning with the vision of the Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, in driving reforms that will enhance quality healthcare delivery and position the Teaching Hospital as a leading centre of excellence.
