UMEAKUEWULU ENGAGES MINISTRY STAFF, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO COOUTH’S EXCELLENCE The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Wednesday, 15th April 2026, received ministry staff working in the Teaching Hospital on a courtesy visit. The staff congratulated her on her appointment and expressed confidence in her capacity to move the hospital forward. They pledged their unalloyed support toward achieving her vision and highlighted key challenges and areas requiring urgent attention to ensure holistic excellence in service delivery. As a mark of solidarity and goodwill, they presented her with a congratulatory portrait. In her response, Dr. Umeakuewulu appreciated the staff for their visit, commitment, and sacrifices toward the growth of the institution. She reaffirmed her dedication to creating a conducive environment that promotes professionalism, efficiency, and staff welfare. The CMD called for sustained collaboration and unity of purpose in driving the hospital’s transformation into a global centre of medical excellence, in line with the vision of the Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, for the Teaching Hospital.
