DR. UMEAKUEWULU RECEIVES PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT ON COURTESY VISIT The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku, Awka, Dr. Maureen Uche Umeakuewulu, on Friday, 10th April 2026, received members of the Physiotherapy Department on a courtesy and welcome visit led by the Head of Department, Mr. Chiemerie Okafor. The team congratulated her on her well-deserved appointment and expressed strong confidence in her capacity to transform the Teaching Hospital through purposeful leadership and strategic reforms. As a mark of goodwill and support, the department presented a welcome gift to the Chief Medical Director. Dr. Umeakuewulu expressed her appreciation to members of the Physiotherapy Department for the visit and their show of support and reaffirmed her commitment to inclusive reforms within the hospital. She emphasized the need for collective responsibility, inviting all hands on deck to ensure that every unit is actively involved in the process of repositioning COOUTH as a centre of medical excellence. Also present during the visit were key members of the hospital’s management team, including the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC), Dr. Nnaemeka Umedum, and the Deputy CMAC, Dr. Ifeoma Njelita.
